The cherry is a high nutrition value product. It is indicated in cases of anemia because thanks to its high concentration in iron and minerals it contributes to the reduction of fatigue and the extension of the muscle exertion. They detoxify the liver and the human body in general. The trace minerals they contain have a relieving effect on patients with rheumatoid arthritis. They act as a diuretic, a digestive and they have antiseptic properties against infections. Also the consumption of cherries can help prevent diabetes

 

 

 

Provision

Provision possibility starts with the beginning of the harvest in mid October and its duration can last up to April30th

The green colour indicates the harvest period and the red colour indicates the preservation period.

 

The cultivated varieties of Havetsis Fruit are mainly French, each and every one of them having distinct and special characteristics. The selection of the cherries include Grace Star, Ferrovia, Canada Giant, Kordia, Regina and Vasiliadis. Finally there are new selections which are being cultivated and have the following characteristics: Brix=17-19 size=28-34 and which are harvested 7 days prior to Burlat up to 7 days after.

Preservation tips for the consumer:

Cherries are preserved in a refrigerator for 3-5 days- in a plastic bag- and must be washed before consumption. Avoid washing them earlier.Also it’s prudent the cherries be kept in room temperature because they attribute their savour characteristics in a better way.
